Myles |
Myles is the meaning of the word professional. His positive attitude and superior performance is second to none. Myles has been a professional drummer since the age of 12. Myles is a full time musician and also teaches 13 students the way of the drums. He is dedicated and is conscious of the music industry and has a very positive attitude towards career, work ethic, and self image. His motto should be adopted by all musicians, "Play it like you mean it ". He proudly performs on Maryland Drums, and thanks go to Keith Larsen for that. Onward and upward. |
| Andy has played most recently (and for the last decade) with Junior Cline and the Recliners, although during those years he also recorded and played with Cruel Shoes (founded by Crack the Sky leader John Palumbo) The Mary Blankemeier Group (which also featured such notables as Al Williams, Gary Grainger, Jon Ozment and Andy Hamburger) and The David Bach Consort. Previously, Andy had spent the 80's playing everything from New Wave to Metal with such groups as The Nerve Ends, Fade To Gray, Paper Cup and Rob Wolf. He also has worked as a session player for radio and TV commercials and a number of other recording projects. Andy has traveled the country and beyond both as a military brat and a musician (when not for his own twisted reasons!) and has played everywhere from Times Square to dumps too embarrassing to mention here. | Andy |

Barry |
Barry is yet another product of Hank Levy and the Towson State University Jazz Ensemble. He has been playing professionally for over twenty years (no fair asking how much over twenty years). During that time he has played numerous styles with very divergent types of groups. From touring North America, Japan and Europe with the Glenn Miller Orchestra to performing with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to playing and recording with Crack The Sky. Barry has also performed with the likes of Peter Erskine, Al Martino, Scatman Carruthers, Paula Kelly, Mary Wilson, Archie Bell, The Modernaires, Ethel Ennis, Bob Newhart, Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers. Locally he has played with anyone who has money but the notables include: The Heat and the Cold Sweat Horns, Tony Berry and New Money, Bobby and the Believers, Great Train Robbery, Jim Ball and the Suits, E.W. Dawg and the Skirts, and about a billion different wedding bands. Barry adds a new twist to the saxophone chair with the addition of the Akai EWI wind controller with which he can make an endless variety of silly noises. While Barry is proudest of his role as a husband and a father he is also quite proud of the fact that every major job he has ever held has involved the word "play" (Musician, Golf Pro, and currently, Computer Game Producer and Designer). |
| Dave Makowiecki has been playing professionally up and down the East Coast for ten years. He has recorded with many local rock bands, society bands, theater groups and big bands. Dave has also played with many local groups, some of which he is still an acting member, such as Crack the Sky, CZEH, Power House, Bobby and the Braggers, Unprovoked Moose Attack, and Joyride to name a few. His favorite color is Red because that is the color of his face when he plays and his sign is Taurus...Strong as a Bull. Visit Dave's Homepage. | Dave |

Jim |
Jim, a native of southeastern PA, moved to the Baltimore area in 1978. After spending a couple of decades traveling the world with the US Army Jazz Ambassadors, he retired from active duty in 1998, and his musical throttle has been floored ever since. He's been featured on over a dozen recordings, a live DVD, and has even appeared on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." On a national level, Jim has performed with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Lloyd Price, Ben E. King and the "Duke of Earl" Gene Chandler. He has also worked with Natalie Cole, Arturo Sandoval, Christian McBride, Toots Thielemans, Melba Moore, and Jerry Butler. Locally, Jim has performed with the Kennedy Center Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Pops Orchestra and wedding bands out the wazoo. Before joining CZEH, he spent a few years in the horn section of the legendary R&B/Blues singer and guitarist Chuck Brown, Washington DC's "Godfather of Go-Go." In addition to his hectic playing schedule, Jim serves on the music faculty at Gettysburg College and Towson University where he directs the big band, Hank Levy's former gig. For a more intimate glance into some of Jim's other dalliances, visit Jim's Homepage. |
